Ice Hockey Discussion | Qualification to Winter Olympic Games Milano Cortina 2026

Magical night with First NHL hattrick for Pavol Regenda last night :) 5 goals in 4 games with San Jose for our undrafted forward. Now obviously we expect the sharks will send him back down to AHL because this is obviously the logical move of San Jose brilliant staff :p

My prediction:

If the gold medal final for both the Women's and Men's tournaments are between :CAN and :USA , I will say that whichever nation wins the women's tournament will be the same one that wins the men's tournament.

Zdeno Chára became last night the 3rd Slovak in history to have his jersey retired in NHL :)

Congrats Zdeno. What a legend !

Forgot to post it yesterday, but Šimon Nemec became the youngest defencer in the NHL history to score 3 Overtime winners in a season :)

Nice record Nemo :yes

Russia and Belarus remains banned from all IIHF WCh program Also for the next season was announced today by IIHF

Still unconfirmed but apparently it was from a guy from a bar calling McKenna’s mom a w**** (if it is, you really can’t blame him), and not only is it a broken jaw, but a concussion, and missing teeth.

    • The tournament is over for Mathilde Fantin – unfortunately, a big loss for the Italy. Tomorrow we play a semifinal against France – if we win, we'll have a grand final against Hungary on Friday. Everything will be clear then, bacouse the final match against China should be a formality. In any case, we've already achieved our best result ever in our history, or at worst scenario – 3rd place in Division 1A.

    • Super runner, good guy, sadly never entirely recovered from ripping his leg to shreds in the act of going sub 10, but as you say a key relay man for the better part of a decade, and a European and World Champion, and a reminder that talent doesn't always come in obvious looking boxes -a breakthrough sprint athlete for many of middle eastern and north african heritage.
