If they had the 2015/2019 system, :ISV would have qualified both teams

I’m assuming we’ll have stronger entries under this qualification system though, or at least that’s the thought process?

The only change was the Cali 2021 and WR quotas, right?

Yea. 8 out of 11 South American countries qualified in each event.

Sport climbing quotas:

Men

Speed: :USA :USA :USA :ECU:CAN :CAN :ECU:CAN :VEN:ECU:CHI:ARG :MEX:BRA:GUA (literally everyone ranked qualified)

B/L: :USA :USA :USA:CAN :CAN :CAN:BRA :MEX :PER:BRA:MEX :CHI :ARG :BRA:CHI + 4 quotas (no other eligible athletes in the rankings)

Women:

Speed: :USA :ECU :USA :USA:CAN :MEX :ECU:MEX :MEX:CHI :ECU + 4 more (no more eligible athletes)

B/L: :USA :USA :USA:CAN :CAN :ARG:CAN :BRA:CHI :CHI:BRA :ARG :MEX:VEN :PUR :ARG:MEX:PER :MEX (only event with more athletes than quotas)

Only 11 countries with qualified athletes

Strong possibility of USA sweeping every medal! Has that ever happened before in any sport at any MSE?

@intoronto Men's speed and B/L are far from a guarantee, and I wouldn't count out Ecuador/Canada in women's speed too. In women's B/L USA has a very good chance at a podium sweep, Ramboutou, Sanders, and Grossman seem to be way ahead of the rest.

Not saying it can't happen, just that it's unlikely.

Honestly I think Uganda is the big favourite in the tournament, but anything can happen in three years.     In the other match, the most important one for me , Italy dominated against Hong Kong and won by 155 runs. Some batting was very good, on fielding we can still improve. Compared to the last matches with Hong Kong in the past years there has been a frightening improvement for the Azzurri.

    • Trump's physical health may still be quite good, indeed. Mental health is a different story, judging by almost all of his speeches where he just gets lost in his own words.   But yeah, exactly what you mention: he can literally commit crimes and try and raise a coup, and his electorate won't care at all. That is of course besides the millions of people who might not really want to vote for a person like Trump, but simply believe with his policies they will have a better chance of paying their groceries, which - sad as it is - is definitely an understandable reason.
