There’s no official website yet, but this is easily the best resource: https://www.jeux.francophonie.org/rd-congo-2021

Basketball Qualification:

Host: :COD

Previous Winner: :FRA

Teams Qualified for the 2020 Summer Olympics: :BEL:CAN:SRB:KOR

EuroBasket 2019: :HUN:SLO:LAT (However these are all “observer members” of the I’OIF, so if only “full members” can qualify: :GRE:ROU:BUL)

Asia Cup 2019: N/A

AmeriCup 2019: :ARG (If only “full members” can qualify: N/A)

Afrobasket 2019: :SEN:MLI:MOZ:EGY (if only “full members” can qualify, then we lose MOZ, and gain :CIV)

Afrobasket 2019 (Indian Ocean Region): N/A

There will be a crapload of reallocation, but this the provisional qualification picture at the moment. Countries with the best chances at reallocation are: :ALB:CPV:CMR:TUN:MRI:NBR:QUE:WLL

What's with UAE or Serbia participating in the Francophone Games? :p

Countries are considered to be Francophone if, during the 19th Century, the aristocracy sent their children to French speaking schools. See also Poland, Russia, Brazil, Egypt etc.

Brazil isn’t a member of the I’OIF. They compete at the Lusophone Games (which haven’t been held for a few years).

Egypt was colonized by France in the 19th century for 3 years btw and btw Egyptians still use some french words in their normal life without knowing that these are french language :d and ofc France played a vital rule in making world know the egyptian civilization by interpreting Rosetta Stone , so i'd say that it's not really strange for egypt to participate here and ofc there're still french schools still existent in Egypt my mom learned in one of them and French is considered a main foreign language here in egypt it comes just after English

    • I used to think Johnston(e) - from some place John build (aka stone for building something hehe).   I'm not familiar if Scottish or Irish clans are named after such clan founder or a place?
    • i'm triggered,legitimately thought kennedy 2.0 happened,just way more out of nowhere
    • Perfectly obvious.    Johnson = son of John Johnston or Johnstone = From St John's Town ie Perth in Scotland.
    • Nope. Azu missed out by 0.01. Bromell lost silver by 0.001!
    • Double silver and no medal for Bromell?
