That's the point with this contest: a lot of songs that don't stand out way above the rest, but also a lot that aren't much worse.

Yes, this is exactly why I’m struggling on my last listen today as well.

It's easier to stand out surrounded by poor quality and more difficult to stand out when everyone's on their A-game.

 

Really gets put into perspective when you start comparing the 12 points of this year to some of the previous years.
