European qualifiers are cancelled, these teams qualified based on the final ranking of Euro 2020:

 

             +  as defending champion

 

France almost missed the WCh, they are the last team to qualify from Euro.

the best part about this is that they didn't postpone the tournament , but overall i don't think that these decisions taken were fair enough especially with the EHF CL , but this's ofc upnormal situation we were forced to have

The IHF Council has awarded the two Wild Card places for the 2021 Men's World Championship to Poland and Russia.

Absolutely obvious wild cards. Only two other decent options were Serbia or Macedonia but no profit for IHF there.

Only 2 places remained from North America and Caribbean qualifications , it's getting closer and i'm really excited about having this event here in Egypt

IHF publish pots for Egypt 2021:

Pot 1: Denmark, Spain, Croatia, Norway, Slovenia, Germany, Portugal, Sweden

Pot 2: Egypt, Argentina, Austria, Hungary, Tunisia, Algeria, Qatar, Belarus

Pot 3: Iceland, Brazil, Uruguay, Czech Republic, France, Korea, Japan, Bahrain

Pot 4: Angola, Cape Verde, Morocco, South America 4, Congo, Poland, North America 1, Russia

The draw is scheduled for September 5.
