Dubreuil kicks off the World cup with a silver medal in the 500m

Gold for Ivanie Blondin in the women’s 3000m at the ISU Nagano World Cup!   She did an interview with Olympics.ca this season, said she was in the form of her life. She really is, wow.

He finished that up with a bronze in the 1000m.    And it was a 4/5 place finish on the women's side.

Jalen Doan wins GOLD at the World Junior Championships in the men's 500. The rest of the team? Not so great. For ex. the highest placing Canadian in the men's 1500 was 31st.

      and  Lorenzo Tarquini gets the C&J and the Olympic Total bronze medals in the men's -89kg    this is probably the most unexpected set of medals pound for pound for the Italian sport in the last couple of years at least    gold goes to  Friedrich with a modest 376kg total (modest for what we saw in the last few years, at least)
