Congrats to you too! That was the most absolutely boring game ever played in an European Championship (by both teams), and we should all both be congratulated for managing to watch 120 minutes of it! :d

Yes, definitely. However, I'm not in a joking mood right now. :p:d

Just for curiosity, why? I know about the rivalry with Germany, but why the "dislike" on Spain or Portugal? :mumble:

Spain because of the World Cup final in 2010 (although we got a bit of revenge in 2014) and Portugal because of several matches, most notably the Battle of Nuremburg :p (the semifinal of Euro 2004 didn't help neither)

Nothing against Portuguese in general, or other Portuguese sportspeople, it's purely and 100% the Portuguese football team we're quite strongly against :d

Hahaha! I do remember very well those two matches (specially the 2004 one, with the amazing goal from Maniche). Great memories you just gave me! :d

Actually I cheered against Holland in 2010. Nothing against Dutches, but I spent a lot of summers in Spain and I like them so I usually support them (after Portugal of course :p)

Seems that the Portuguese surprised our team and manager with their tactics and style of play. We were anxious and inhibited nearly the whole game. When we finally took risks we conceded the goal with a counterattack.

Ah, especially Maniche! We hate Maniche

7 goals in his international career and 2 of those shitty goals (free kicks I think? Or shots from the side and quite a distance anyway) kicked us out of two major tournaments :smash:

We might one day start being ok with Portugal's football team (Cristiano being gone would help), but we will never ever be anything close to ok with Maniche :p

So sad for Croatia :(

That match was never-ending...

Congrats to Poland! :cheer:

And now I'm disappointed that I didn't make predictions on Totallympics, because I'm doing them on another website and my results are quite good

10 Spanish players have been tested for doping :yikes:

Yeah, I don't know why, but somehow the Spanish football federation thought this was "special news" or something

Personally I'm more wondering why apparently more than 10 players were not tested for doping.

    • Yes, she was unlucky, but it could just as easily have happened during some training, like with Gut, etc. Brignone has been essentially injury-free throughout her long career, which is very rare in this sport. It's unfortunate that this happened after her best season ever and just 1 year before the Olympic Games in home, when she just missing of win the Olympic gold medal in her great career. With the gold in Cortina, she would have become a legend of Italian skiing, on par with Tomba. Now she's still the best Italian woman in history, but the miss of Olympic gold will likely haunt her for the rest of her life.
    • It sad to see this season, as I remember, that Fede last year was winning everywhere, when she competed and finished and now we haven't even managed a single podium in the giant slalom, and it'll probably stay that way until the end of the season. Without Fede and Bassino, unfortunately, we're out of good cards in this event. For me Goggia should probably skip the giant slalom at all, becouse she has no chance of a podium and she risks further injuries. If even Goggia finish 8th or 10th? What difference does it make? If she couldn't get a podium finish today with so many DNFs at the top skiers, she probably never do. Della Mea is OK this year, but let's be honest, she's not World Cup podium material. Overall, it's a sad picture, and we have a 0% chance of anything in Cortina unless a miracle happens in Brignone return.   We have two chances for Goggia in DH and SG + maybe a dark horse in Pirovano/Curtoni in SG. That's all. In technical events, we have a 0% chance for medal and that's sad. Our federation also lost Colturi in this situation... In any normal country, the head of such a federation should be dismissed for disciplinary reasons and this case should be investigated by the minister, or even the prime minister, but not in Italy...
    • Mikaela Shiffrin  off the podium today (Edit: Oops...I thought this was slalom, not Giant Slalom.).  Nina Astner  entered the 2nd run in 30th place, but had the best second run, jumping up 18 places to 12th.
    • Maryna Gąsienica-Daniel with a 5th place PB in Semmering GS!
