Not bad for your regular 28-year old. In one summer she improved by over 72%! There is a hope for all of us!! :roflmao:

:p

I share your feelings, don't get me wrong, but at least part of the difference is due to Johaug not having destroyed everyone as much as in those races.

yeah, I think Therese today was absolutely in control of the operations and didn't want to waste too much energy (tomorrow there's another race)...

p.s. :ITA Scardoni yesterday won the qualification race of the sprint event...today, after 1.2km, she was 23 secs behind Johaug...:yikes::nopompom:

and at the end of the race she's "only" 2.05 behind the Norwegian (currently in 35th place, best Italian girl of the day)...

Which only means for a sprinter she dealt with her energy very well for the distance. No reason at all to try and blow everyone away in the first kilometer even if you're a good sprinter :p

she's supposed to be an all-round skier...not only a sprint specialist...

but today she started slow like a turtle...with a better start, she could have made the top 30...but probably she's not mentally ready to face the pain you need to feel to achieve good results (at least, that's what Fulvio valbusa said during Eurosport's broadcast here in Italy)...

Or, at least as likely, with a faster start she'd have fallen back more than only two minutes. But I guess it's easier to just say someone isn't mentally ready to face the pain :p

Another race with very odd seeding coming up, should be exciting.

My eye is on everything until bib 70, Bolshunov seems to normally be the last one who can go for the win.
