The Slovak Biathlon Women and Men Team will no longer be part of the weekend program at the WC in Kontiolahti.

 

According to the measures and regulations in Slovakia in order to prevent the spread of coronaviruses, they will have to fly back to Slovakia on Saturday. An order from the authorities in the country, Since no international flights are allowed in the country, the authorities will send tomorrows a special government plane to bring them home.

 

All members of the team will undergo a mandatory two-week quarantine after landing in Slovakia.

Paulina Fialkova finished 77th today. It's not like she would be starting in the pursuit anyway The rest of the Slovakian team, well, they have nothing to compete for anymore either.

Kind of like what happened in the 1950s when a player defected.  Rest of team back to the Motherland under armed guard for interrogations & an unexpected change of career.
