Biathlon IBU World Cup 2019 - 2020

And a Belgian relay now that Pjotr Dielen qualified for the World Cup with his awesome performance in the IBU Cup this week. Cesar Beauvais is eligible too now, but they've already got 4 even without Michi Rösch :d

13th place is probably the worst result for the German women's relay? Talk about going down the drain for the former powerhouse. Herrmann's shooting sucks, Preuss is nowhere and Hinz will never make that elite step. Hildebrand is almost too old fot this shit.

Tomasz Sikora said Germany finished 13th once in the now defunct mixed relay back in 1996/97.

In that case at least today's 12th place is better than that. Oh well, every nation has amazing and shitty times, nothing to worry about for those who like them and nothing to celebrate for those who don't :p

Ouch, just looking at Dreissigacker makes my legs and lungs burn.

No question. She is the weak lunk for the US.  I actually liked Dunklee and Egan at 2 and 3.  Congrats to the Swiss.  And crazy last lap for Norway.

Very interesting pursuit.  Fourcade being attacked at the end of the race by his own team.  Lower placings means less points, harder to catch Boe.  Remember he is going to miss at least one race due to the due date of his wife.

Men's relay should be very interesting.  I would love the French B team that will be there tomorrow as the US team.

That's significantly less than what JTB will most likely miss :p

    • I used public transit the entire time I was in Milan.   My first day was a doozy, because I had to two flights to reach Malpensa, and then the train into town was delayed, and then I got confused a station and boarded a tram instead of the metro, proceeded to travel in the wrong direction, got off, walked back to the station, found the metro, got off a station early, walked around a kilometer to my hotel, and checked in.   My colleagues mostly took cabs upon arrival, but I deduced to take the frugal approach. That said, I was a true public transit professional by the time I left Milan.   I actually enjoyed my rides to and from venues, because I'd just chat up fans and volunteers from different countries. It helped me learn more about the city too.
    • It's the olympics, sleep is for the weak!    The first day i got there i was on a 12 hour flight from l.a to rome (flight that left mid day), lay over, another flight to milan, uber to hotel, then right away to speed skating (1500m men), then after uber to hockey venue for women's gold final, then after the celebrations uber to the hotel, i ended up being awake about 36 hours that day, the next morning i thought to go sightseeing in the center of milan, but ended up sleeping until like 2pm..... and had speed skating/short track that night
    • I tried to get onto the metro multiple times and gave up    I had just arrived the day of from Bangkok (12 hr flight) and was just exhausted and wanted to sleep
    • Plus, you missed out on a potential metro ride with me, which is quite priceless in my opinion
    • My hotel was very close to Rho so was easy to get there, but it was so far from the hockey venue that after the women's gold medal match it was so expensive to get back, and also the next day after the usa slovakia semis it took forever, the asshole driver took the city and not the freeway
    • Uber cost me $224 CAD to get back to the hotel from the OC. It basically prevented me from buying tickets to a speed skating session
    • Romania's national team coach, Mircea Lucescu, has died half an hour ago He was in hospital since March 30th, just before the friendly match against Slovakia. Unbelievable how the life can have such turns...in March 26th he was in Istanbul playing the WC qualifying play-off vs Turkiye and now he died.    Thank you very much for every moments you bring us in your huge career (he's on 3rd place in a most trophies won in career, after Ferguson and Guardiola) and may your soul rest in peace, Mr. Lucescu.
