Japan's women's team :d

nice...it's like the Swiss Biathlon team with the Gasparin sisters! :d:cheer:

p.s. I still remember "Zoldo", a team in the Italian Hockey championship about 25/30 years ago...out of 20 players, there were like 15/16 all with the same Family name (Meneghetti)...

and they were actually all brothers and/or cousins to each other! :yikes:

And future luge, where according to Arturs Darznieks it's only a matter of time before Latvia fields a Sics, Sics, Sics/Sics relay :p

well, Italy a few years ago could have easily sent an all-Huber team in Luge (if only the Team Relay was in the schedule at that time)...

Latvia will always be second in this case...:p

yeah, in the 3000m superfinal of the all-round global championships it happens once every while...

it's way more uncommon instead in the shorter individual distances...

it was nice to watch the race, in any case...something unusual is always welcome!

Plus I always, no matter which sport, love seeing athletes go to their limits and far, far beyond it, like Ren in those last laps

I heard they called the Dresden fire department because his legs were setting the whole stadium on fire.

Bah! That is nothing! In the 1980 Moscow Olympics India fielded an all-Singh* 11 man field hockey team!

*Singh is not really a name though, but an honorary title give to Sikhs.

so, that's not to be taken into consideration...:finger:

otherwise you only need to fill a team made only of people with a PHD and you have a full "Dr." team...too easy! :pope:

    • Just rewatched that last minute, because apparently there were a controversy according to medias, but it took almost 15 minutes.  oh dear, this sport is just something else.
    • Apparently was leading 0.4 seconds to go by 3 points but still managed to lose the match     Anyway it looks there some progress from the loses to Albania and co from couple of years ago... maybe thhere a chance for a win in a international match in the next decade. As San Marino proved last week in football, only sky is the limit

    • Hope so (for my adopted country, Norway, that is). Torino 2006 was the first Winter Olympics I followed closely and it was nothing short of a disaster for Norway. Strangely enough, that was actually the reason I became an avid fan of Norwegian winter sports and have been ever since. As for my actual home country, Greece, a medal for Ginnis in slalom (alpine skiing) would be a miracle.
