Mewatch quality has decreased considerably...

 

Better to check the Cambodian TV on Facebook (TVK Cambodia, Bayon television, BTV Cambodia, AMS Central, AMS Sports, Cambodian Sport Television) or just type the Khmer phrase "ស៊ីហ្គេម 2023"

 just got the Gold Medal in the women's -48kg

Gold for  in Badminton!!! Amazing final ends in 3-2 victory. 20 year old Sok Rikreay and 21 year old Meng Chourng instrumental in Cambodian win.

Today is perhaps the craziest day

 

- Indonesia women’s pencak silat athlete who was leading against her Vietnamese opponent was forced to default at 18 seconds remaining. The Indonesian was injured but hanged on to win the gold but the referee decided she is not fit to continue and the Vietnamese wins the gold. After some protest, it was decided that referee decision is invalid and the Indonesian now has the gold (no word about the Vietnamese athlete)

 

- As people investigated who is the Cambodian badminton hero Chourng Meng,  apparently she is former Chinese athlete Zhou Meng who announced her early retirement from the international circuit due to long lasting injuries. Usually when an athlete changed his/her country, the BWF ID will be the same but not the case with Ms. Meng. Many accused this is a BWF rule violation.

 

- In the gaming event of Valorant, the Singaporean team was accused of abusing a bug on the match against Indonesia. As of now the debate is still ongoing

something like that happened also at the Italian U-23 Fencing Champs in the women's Epee.

an athlete was leading the final by a good margin with a few secs to go, but severely sprained her ankle.

after all the medical checks, she was clearly not in condition to continue, and her opponent could have easily turned the score around in the remaining time.

but she decided to kill the clock and leave her rival win a deserved title.

that sportsmanship act got a lot of attention in our media, more than our top guys winning medals all around the world.

Mohammad Adi Salihin Bin Roslan successfully defended his gold medal in wushu (men’s nanquan) from the last edition of the SEA Games. 
 

 is now the only NOC without a gold medal.

Have the SEA Games even taken place if multiple scandals haven’t rocked the competition? 
 

The scandals part of the SEA Games Wikipedia pages always make for a good read. Hopefully, some of the upcoming rumored sports program limitations help alleviate a few of the scandals. I think it’s cool how much all of these countries get into an event like this though.
