Women's high jump at Lausanne DL started about an hour ago. Olyslagers :AUS and Geraschenko :UKR both up and over 2.00 on their first attempt. Mahuchikh :UKR passing at 2.00 after failing to clear it on her first attempt, with the bar now raised to 2.02.

Olyslagers clears 2.02 (=AR which she set on route to winning silver at Tokyo 2020) on her second attempt :hyper: :bounce:

Gerashchenko with a 2.00 for second, and Mahuchikh with a 1.97 for third.

Olyslagers asks for the bar to go up to 2.05 but is unsuccessful on all three of her attempts.

Great HJ competiton, although was expecting more from Mahuchikh (By her high standards, she probably was too).

Weather in Lausanne looks a bit greyish & rainy by :SCO standards, but :SUI are in shirt sleeves so they know best.

  Femke Bol carried the mixed relay to predictable gold. Van Diepen was particulary useless dropping to 4th place but Bol immediately moved to 2nd place within the first few steps taking advantage of slow last exchange (Nielsen had to look back for the baton twice).

  Sometimes I look at Switzerland and I simply envy them. They are making progress in almost every winter sport, not just alpine skiing. It`s a rich country, but Italy is bigger + we should spend much more money becouse we organizing the games. We rarely manage to do that. I would like us to do what France did in Paris: significantly improve our result from 2022. However, I doubt we are able to do it. I have been disappointed and let down too many times in winter to be a big optimist now
