Breaking WDSF World Championships 2023

Recommended Posts

Oh lol, definitely was not expecting to see a Lithuanian Olympic quota tonight :p

I wonder how her Olympic run will look.

Would be happy if she added to the Lithuanian medal tally, don't know if I quite consider this an Olympic sport though

Don't worry, he'll qualify one way or another.

You’re not wrong, but I just wish we could’ve got the quota first try.

I don't know if we have anyone other than her.

Well, at least I don't follow this sport and I only know of her from the media, because Dominyka wins a lot :p

I think you should create a breaking track if she wins gold

Nah, right now I'm writing Eurovision songs for other artists and Lithuanian pop music + an acoustic indie/folk/pop project in English for my two upcoming albums that are scheduled as a follow up to my debut album that's coming in a month and a half-ish.

So writing hip-hop would feel a bit out of place in the near future :p

    • Also it being illegal in France means the IOC will have to test everyone pre arriving at 2030 and can’t wait till they arrive at the Games to do so. I’m sure at 2028 for some sports testing will happen on site if it’s not a rule of its governing body for non Olympic events. So far only a few sports like Athletics and Boxing have that rule - I suspect others will adopt it but others might take time.
    • https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/olympics/articles/cpwj78lxypro ‘In France - one of a number of countries where genetic testing is illegal without a medical prescription due to privacy laws - the government has condemned the decision as "a step backwards". "It defines the female sex without taking into account the biological specificities of intersex individuals, whose sexual characteristics present natural variations, leading to a reductive and potentially stigmatising approach," claimed French Sports Minister Marina Ferrari.”   ‘A group of legal experts in human rights and sports have since expressed, external"urgent concern" about what they called "the regressive move toward genetic testing as a precondition of participation in women's sport" which they say "violate domestic and international laws that protect human rights and regulate the use of genetic testing and genetic information".  The group has called on athletes "to challenge the national or regional implementation of mandatory genetic sex testing, demanded by the IOC or international federations, before domestic courts, by invoking national or regional laws protecting human rights, prohibiting anti-discrimination, and regulating the use of genetic testing and genetic data".’   Domestic laws are more challenging for the IOC to deal with than CAS. Things could get complicated for a bit.
    • Except NOC’s and governing bodies have to still follow local laws. Particularly for Under 18’s there could certainly be domestic legal issues regarding associations paying for travel to other counties to circumvent a domestic ban. Child protection services don’t always act reasonable to attempts to break a domestic law.
