Another tough loss for Maria Sakkari at GS level as she goes down to Zhu Lin in three sets. Just fire Tom Hill and try doing something else.

Sebastian Korda beats Daniil Medvedev who will go out of Top 10 because of this.

I'm not surprised by both results TBH

Probably the two most in-form players in the bottom half (Sabalenka & Bencic) will meet in R4 already.

Linda Fruhvirtova won the :CZE derby over Marketa Vondrousova in three sets :)

I've seen it coming (look up at my 4rd bracket).

She's no fav against Garcia though, but who knows?

I haven't seen Magda playing better...

    • Yes, but what I mean for Serbia is that everything changed there (unfortunately for us ). 2022 was an unbelievable mess, that's not the case anymore now with just one athlete who has really gone for it and made it, so I'm 99% sure they'll accept it this time.   Who knows though. Plus there's always 1-2 bigger countries here or there who reject something, but it's not gonna be 16 places I'm afraid
    • Doping by Event Type When we look at which events have the most doping cases, a few categories stand out from recent sanction records: Long Distance (3,000m and above): 32% of cases Sprints (400m or less): 24% of cases Jumps: 12% of cases Javelin: 8% of cases Middle Distance (800m–1,500m): 8% of cases Hammer: 8% of cases Steeplechase (3,000m SC): 4% of cases
    • From 2020 to 2025    These three countries alone make up almost two-thirds (61.9%) of all current doping violations in athletics worldwide. It’s worth noting that 199 of World Athletics’ 214 member federations have no athletes on the current ban list. This means the problem is really concentrated in a small number of places.
