I don’t know :dunno:

Maybe they’ll change it to the “Sochi Grand Prix” at some point.

Good luck with that belief. There's obviously one other answer, WADA & CAS have completely dribbled themselves out of bounds with their punishment campaign against Russia. First they banned athletes from taking part in Rio 2016 OG (Maria Lasitskiene being the prime example) then they suddenly switched to "we won't punish the athletes but the state" which was supposed to protect integrity (lost cause based on Lasitskiene being baned from Rio but eligible for Tokyo) and yet here were are where they keep the name of the state itself as Grand Prix venue despite banning a driver from this country to be called as coming from this state.

This is just one total mess piled onto another. First they punish the athletes then they go back and let them compete but ban the state flag and ever words to describe them. Like F1 World Championship doesn't even have a medal system and nations classification to begin with! You don't get any medals here and nothing for finishing second in the final standings. The only prize is money. Hell, some teams even have the right to collect the single Grand Prix trophies from their drivers because they are won by the team itself, not by a driver and least of all by the nation he represents.

One final thing, the ban on the word "Russia" ends on December 16th, 2022. The World Cup final is on December 18th, 2022 (third place match probably the day before). What if the Russian team makes the final four (unlikely but still probable). They play the entire tournament as "Neutral Football Team from Russia" but then play as Russia in their last game? :p  This ban is truly a gift that keeps on giving.

From any lawyering viewpoint, it is pretty obvious they would have the same name they had when the tournament started.

First time I’ve seen something like this happen.

    • That’s good news. There’s been no mention of the team in the local papers at all. If they go, I think they’ll be the first Philippine athletes to represent the country in a team event at the World Games.
    • No, Lake Placid won the bid to be the back-up host over St Moritz and Igls. I don’t believe any other track expressed interest.
