So all quota are pretty much decided except for the fight for 22nd in the women's standings (if nothing weird happens)? That's gonna be a very close one though..

Latvia should be capable too, though it would require something very big from Rastorgujevs...

Saying that, he was 7th in Kontiolahti sprint with one miss.

He could realistically get anything between 1st and 80th so yeah, hard to guess that one :p

Hi guys,

Any idea what will happen to Bulgaria on the women's side? Do we have 5 female athletes that satisfy the criteria (there are just 3 per event starting at World Cup now)? What if only 3 satisfy the criteria? Is a relay going to be allowed to start with 3 athletes satisfying the criteria? Is there a quota for mixed relays? Where will the unused quotas go?

Well, the thing is that all 5 selected athletes must have achieved criterias to start in the trimester in which the Olympic Games will be held, but this shouldn´t be a problem, for example many countries just send the athlete to the IBU cup, where it´s much easier to fulfill the required criterias.

Yes, each country with at least 2 mens and 2 womens qualified athletes is automatically qualified for the mixed relay too.

Still not sure about, but apparently all unused quotas will not be realocated.

Sort of :p

Oh well, the decision has pretty much been made to go full force for a quota place in cross-country, so it doesn't matter so much anymore :)

Thanks! That means at least 4 of the girls must meet the criteria to field a relay...
