Best Doubles or Pair was, by far, the closest category. Any nominee could've won, in fact even O'Donovan/McCarthy led the count at some point.

:GER Sebastian Vettel

AUTO RACING

Competing in Formula One since 2007, Sebastian Vettel is one of the most successful drivers in history and also the youngest world champion. He won headlines for his win at the 2008 Italian Grand Prix, and was quickly promoted to Red Bull. While he would lose in 2009 to the infamous BGP 001, he would become world champion in a tightly-fought 2010 season, and dominated in 2011. In 2012, he would have another close win, but 2013 was his most dominant season yet, winning the final nine races in a row to claim a fourth consecutive crown. He switched blue for Ferrari red in 2015, but couldn't repeat the feat in an era of Mercedes dominance, losing two tight battles to Lewis Hamilton in 2017 and 2018. While his last years weren't as triumphant as before, the 2010-13 period more than earns him a well-deserved spot in our Hall of Fame.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
