Rio 2016 Gold Medallist :USA Gwen Jorgenson is trying to get back into triathlon after specialising in the marathon. Unfortunately she’s stuck in limbo - low world ranking does not let her get into races, can’t improve her ranking because she’s not racing.  Travelled to Yokohama as a reserve, but didn’t get a race.

A nice 6th place for Maya Kingma! A top 8 result is a national qualification requirement, better to get it out of the way early. Sadly the gap to the UK and US girls is still quite big.
