An actual Olympic medal though, rip-off events don't and shouldn't count as actual Olympic medals  (much as I like the YOG)

Like it or not, the IOC counts YOG medals as medals as Olympic medals, so his medal counts.

Well, since it very much looks as though we will not see any sports competitions this summer (except maybe some national leagues), I wouldn't be against the idea of using would-be Olympic dates for some forum competitions.

 

Only instead of having something every day, how about just having some 3-5 events in total during those 16 days? It can all start with Festival of Music Grand Final Saturday (Olympic Day 1), and then continue into the next couple of weeks with something else.

As for 'forum competitions': I have absolutely zero inspiration in terms of what we could do, but I'm down for whatever you guys come up with

I think the fact that nobody touched this at all for over 9 days is a pretty good indication that we don't need to rush into another contest.

 

It was just the annual post-contest hype.
