I thought that Hofer might get a little bit nervous in the stand, so I took my chance on poor little Austria for silver, but Eder was not up to par with the performance that was needed.

Smart, literally the only time in Hauser's career she does not get a podium in the single mixed, you pick Austria. Well done sir.

Well, I picked Peiffer for sprint and pursuit, where he missed all the targets, didn't pick JTB for sprint/pursuit, cause I thought he would burn out, but picked him for individual. Got the wrong Italian for the individual, believed in Makarainen just because I like her and thought that Fourcade was not spent and would actually do something here.

With all of this, I have no clue how I'm still relevant in the standings.

And it's ABBA all over again, time to tune out of the broadcast :bye:

Damn right. You'd think they've had no other bands like ever,

@hckosice, do you know the order of your ladies in the relay? I've actually put them on gold in my prediction. :toast:

I'd like Poliakova to start first. Think it might limit the damage.

I'm pretty sure they will put I.Fialkova first even the first leg is usually the slowest tbh but these teams always wants to hide their weakest member on legs 2 or 3.

Yeah, but it never seem to work for Slovakia, that's why I thought they might change things a bit.

Has Poliakova ever worked for the :SVK relay? :mumble:

I just can't wait for all of the people holding their breath when Sanfilippo and Gontier will be shooting. I'd assume many still went for Italy, regardless the gamble.

    • It's all hogwash especially in the short attention span generation. Like nobody cares about Free Tibet anymore either. Free Palestine will last a lot longer due to Saudi Arabia becoming a sponsorship force in sports.   Israel is too weak in soccer to qualify from UEFA zone. The only time they qualified was from the Asian zone and they only beat Australia & New Zealand who were complete nobodies in the 1960s. No such luck in the 60 years since.
    • Oh I assure you FIFA dodger a bullet with Israel not qualifying…   But ya that’s kind of the thing, shut up and dribble is a mantra anti LGBT people have used often. I don’t think it’s hypocritical to remind them of their position
    • Ah, yes but that's not how pro athletes are taught in North America these days? Shut up & dribble is xenophobic, racist or whatever? The hypocrisy of some of these policies were exposed during 2022 World Cup already where the Saudis played it smart and waved their own "Free Palestine' slogans. Forget LGBT rights for a moment, how many 'Free Palestine' flags will be waved in 2026? Or will those be confiscated by default? Somehow I feel this won't be met with similar backlash when China clamped down on 'Free Tibet' in 2008 OG. Saudi Arabia is more important to global markets than Iran & Egypt
    • Wisła Płock just assumed 1st position after five consecutive draws. Must be first time ever a team on a five match winless streak actually moves up to league top.
    • Well ya, which is why the Egyptian and Iranian teams can shut up and dribble :P
    • The problem is, the World Cup is not a local event. Overall it's another storm in a teacup. LGBT rights in Muslim countries won't change a damn inch becuse of one soccer match in Seattle
