The seeding is ridiculous though.  That first heat had the silver and bronze medalists from the world championships, the fifth place team and the Americans who could have won gold if not for a botched exchange.  The next heat has Jamaica and............Germany?

I think its because we didn;t qualify in World Relays

You're right.  It doesn't matter anyway because if Canada is a medal contender they should be fine, and they were.
