2022-23 Ski Jumping World Cup: Zao Japan :JPN

Alexandria Loutitt wins Canada’s first ever World Cup gold medal in women’s ski jumping! (240.3 pts) :CAN

So happy for her!  Hoping the rest of her season will be filled with many more podiums!

Great day here in Zao for the Austrians :AUT as well, as they get a double podium! Overall World Cup leader Eva Pinklenig wins silver (231.8), while her teammate Chiara Creuzer wins bronze (228.6)

Hoping this result will finally make Own The Podium take action, and put some funding into Ski Jumping Canada. There are hardly any training facilities in Canada, and all ski jumping athletes who choose to compete are self-funded.

The COC doesn't fund athletes, it would be Own the Podium. Calgary's ski jumps closed as well.

Canada has 6 active ski jumpers, and a win is huge! This individual win should get some funding for the next couple seasons, which I hope will help fund some developmental athletes for the future as well.

Are Canadians and Americas still one team? I remember in the past two OG and WC they were coached by our coaches together.

:USA is partnered with :NOR this season.
