I usually ignore this event, but artistic gymnastics will be held for the first time, so I'm slightly interested. Only men's events will be contested and a measly six countries will compete: :ARM :BRA :CHN :IND :PRK and :VIE. Not super exciting, but some big names will compete, so it should be nice to watch.

Gymnastics isn’t a sport that needs to depend on military founding or backup jobs. It’s a shame there will only be six countries and only men. Though women’s gymnastics probably wouldn’t improve a militaries image.

@dcro It looks like show jumping will be done in the Olympic format.

Also, the diving is actually pretty strong. I recognize quite a few of the names there.

To date, I have not been interested in this event, but looking at the Polish team that sends to Wuhan, if possible, I will follow the results.

Results website seems good. After seeing the amount of athletes, and realizing how many I know, I’m quite excited for the games. Nothing gets Olympian1010 up in the morning quite like unnecessary multi-sports games :p. They could have a “Games Of The Countries That Begin With The Letter C” and I’d be glued to screen for days :p

    • Yeah, we have such a strong crop of Juniors, that we can’t take them all. They all have exciting trajectories but to predict what Junior swimmers will is always difficult. Better to let them all swim together at Juniors than rocketing them all up to seniors and swimming a prelim and going home.
    • Hanlon is the most unlucky, in my opinion. Aside from relay cover, she's the 50m champ and they made a point of including consideration for those events being in LA for the other discretionary picks. Essentially she has the same case for selection as Max Morgan (albeit without the trajectory right now).   Blocksidge's form was way off this week (compared to her previous bests). Obviously being still young you could put that down to relative inexperience. Still, she has World and European Juniors that she could still be selected for this summer. There's an argument that performing well at those might be as beneficial as going to Singapore.   That said, I'm happy that they did take a bunch of discretionary picks. That's not always been the case.
