I think I know it's not possible, but just to be sure: is there a way to prevent certain subforums from showing up in the unread posts/topic section?

I think this is possible by clicking on Content Types-Topics-More Options for Topics (see below) and then selecting only the forums you want to see posts for ?

That does seem to work, yes  Although then it goes on to list every single forum you've selected and that takes up more space than I had hoped to save by eliminating the national threads from the list  So never mind

Yes, that’s to cut down on the amount of storage it takes. Down sizing the resolution means the file takes up less storage. I would assume that’s why @Sindo would have it set that (of course that’s only if he set it that way, and it’s not a glitch)
