Good job @Olympian1010 If you're so much into such things, could you please do the list of nations/athletes who completed the 2018/2019 season's condition of being eligible to fight for it (C2. of this document)

Yep, but I won’t have time for that today. I’ll do it tomorrow.

Because of the qualification rules and available information, I’ll need to wait until the first Youth World Cup event to answer your question

@hckosice I’d say with 95% certainty that :SVK will have a women’s bobsled in Lausanne :yes. She might even be an outside contender for a medal :yikes:

Some good news for @Wumo and @Agger as well. :DEN has a very talented men’s skeleton athlete who finished 7th in the first of 8 qualification events.

Looks like :UZB would have two eligible speed skaters, if they meet the qualification standard. Their first races had times far from qualifying though. Both competed in the junior grand prix figure skating just last month...

Well, I give them props for trying. Who’s what will happen :dunno:.

However, as someone who Roller speed skates, I can say it will be tough. In the first month their times will improve a lot. However, it takes at least at few months to really start to understand good form. It also requires different muscles than figure skating, and different skates with thinner blades obviously.

I’ve been meaning to do a speed skating update, so thanks for reminding me.

What are their times so far? I'm assuming they're trying in the 500m like most beginners and exotic nations? :p

Somehow I’m willing to bet that they set the national records

Those times aren’t as bad as I expected. Those are actually almost respectable times to be honest.
