The following athletes qualified to Rio through ranking (including reallocation from 2016 World Championships and host quota):

:HUN Zsofia FOLDHAZI

:GER Annika SCHLEU

:ITA Claudia CESARINI

:BLR Anastasiya PROKOPENKO;

:LTU Ieva SERAPINAITE

:GBR Freyja PRENTICE

:LTU Gintare VENCKAUSKAITE

:ARG Iryna KHOKHLOVA

:CAN Melanie MCCANN

:USA Margaux ISAKSEN

Germany, Great Britain and Lithuania still need to determine the competitors they will send to the Games as they have 3 qualified; so expect some reallocations either from European Qualification or World Ranking

Don't forget the reallocation of unused tripartite quotas what will happen 99.99%. Panama is probably the only tripartite nation that even competes in this sport, but they probably won't get it too.

LŠPF announced earlier that the last women's quota will go for the pentathlete with the highest olympic rank, so I.Serapinaitė will be selected.

Burkina Faso and Bolivia also compete... but I doubt any of those quotas are used.

    • I hope she can do well, but I think she's not going to win any gold, as she's never been comfortable both with the shooting range and the altitude in Anterselva   I fear biathlon is going to be one of the biggest flops for us next year (the other disaster will come from the sliding sports, I'm pretty sure...rather, hopeless)   I think our medal table will heavily depend on the speedskating sports, on the big air events and on alpine snowboard, any other discipline's contribution is going to be marginal
    • Great to see luge being back underway, but annoying that the graphics aren't really working properly yet     They're showing the time gaps at all the splits, as per usual, but then at the finish there is only the actual time, and no time gaps, resulting in all the time having to mentally calculate the difference to see if someone gained or lost time in the last part.
    • Knockout Stage   Quarterfinals, 1st Leg (Part I) Tuesday 03.12.2024 - Schedule*   18:00 Sparta Prague (CZE) - Växjö Lakers (SWE) 18:00 Red Bull Salzburg (AUT) - Färjestad Karlstad (SWE) 19:45 Genève-Servette (SUI) - Pinguins Bremerhaven (GER)   *All times CET     Watch live   Check here for details of live TV broadcasts: https://www.championshockeyleague.com/en/fans/where-to-watch   All games are also live on the https://everyplay.live/ website (CHL Pass costs 9.99€/month), subject to geo-blocking restrictions in certain countries due to TV rights.
    • Yeah, that is quite a surprise overall. Our women's handball has regressed since the 2010s. Or maybe Spanish women's handball isn't as good as I thought.
    • / Ilke Wyludda (discus) passed away at the age of 55.
    • Poland defeat Spain 26 - 23 and did qualified to next round
    • Watched the mass start on Sunday & it just didn't work.  Runners starting from the fourth or fifth row back (ie everyone in places 20-70) were losing time through no fault of their own - just not enough room on the piste for 70+ starters.  So OK for an experiment, but not for real meaningful competition.
    • Tournament to crown the inaugural Women's United States Champion:   SmackDown - November 15th Bayley def. B-Fab and Candice LeRae   SmackDown - November 22nd Chelsea Green def. Blair Davenport and Bianca Belair   SmackDown - November 29th Michin def. Piper Niven and Lash Legend   Still to come: SmackDown - December 6th Naomi vs. Tiffany Stratton vs. Elektra Lopez   SmackDown - December 13th Semi-Finals: Bayley vs. Chelsea Green   Michin vs. TBA   The Final Match of the tournament will take place on "Saturday Night's Main Event" PLE (Premium Live Event) on December 14th.
    • Yeah that mirror thing was so weird. You literally need a maximum of two safety car laps (possibly just 1) to take away that 1 piece of stuff....but wait until someone unavoidably shatters it into 1000 little pieces     Intentionally or not, there is no way it was NOT going to happen at some point...
