40 years ago... LIVE AID was a two-venue benefit concert (London and Philadelphia) and music-based fundraising initiative held on Saturday 13 July 1985.

 

The 1985 Live Aid concert was conceived as a follow-on to the successful charity single "Do They Know It's Christmas?" which was also the idea of Geldof and Midge Ure.

Old and beautiful polish song from probably the 1960s? (Jacek Lech: "Badz dziewczyna z moich marzen"). Now I have a question for my friends from Poland here: why was this great singer completely forgotten in free Poland after 1989 and why did he die in complete forgotten, as I read in 2007? rafalgorka, 05-monzanator, /22-adriano/?

Recently I have become a fan of old Polish songs from different periods of time: this time a cool tune from the crazy 90s (The movies from the crime series with this song, which I'm posting below, is always present in my memory: when it was broadcast on Polish TV in the mid-90s, my parents wouldn't let me watch it because was for 18+ year-olds. I remember being very upset about it at the time:

There's also intense, almost sporting competition here. The Chopin Competition finals are currently underway; many consider it the most prestigious competition for young pianists in the world. I highly recommend it; in my opinion, the excitement is greater than at Eurovision. LOL

      Thats good, but I think Galica should take some rest because of his age and Suchodolski could be replaced by Skorusa for example to give him any chance to show in World Cup
