imagine it. if tang yuanting had partnered a younger and better junior wd china could have won a medal for wd. somehow favoritism want to send the old yu yang aso no medal won. sad right?

Yu Yang was a victim of the 2012 Olympic Games. She personally also has the willingness to continue to participate in the Olympic Games. The technical level has not regressed. It is logical to continue to be the main force.

When Tang Yuanting has the ability to compete for Olympic qualifications, the Olympics qualification race was already over half. At that time, it was very difficult to win the Olympic qualification. If two young people partner, it is very likely that they will not be eligible for the Olympics.

 of course so sad at that time inc 2012 the then head coach li yongbo gave order to yu yang / wang xiaoli asking them to purposely lose their match.

well it is the sad sad case. yu yang is not moving and it is tang yuanting alone doing all the hard work alone. in this case why not pair tang yuanting with a young player? i am suse she will qualify to play and can even win medals.

then due to guilt feeling decided to let yu yang play on with wang xiaoli in rio olympic 2016. too bad wang xiaoli injured hence a bad decision to pair yu yang with china best wd tang yuanting backfired and won no wd medal.

If you want two teams to participate in the Olympics, you must enter the top eight. This is not easy.

then the zhao yunlei / tian qing case. zhao yunlei refused to play in rio olympic 2016 with tian qing.

It is not a problem of the Chinese Badminton Association. It is a problem that the Chinese badminton team has had in previous years.

      If I understand the tie-breaker, Canada needs Venezuela to lose and give up 3+ runs, and for Puerto Rico to lose and give up 8+. Both totally possible. It is annoying that Canada beat PR, yet could still finish behind them (again, only if I'm understanding the tie-breaker correctly). Of course, Canada could have avoided that possibility by simply beating Panama.    Anyway, they fought hard and sort of got the raw deal of an upset in Group B.    But I mean, hey, Italy has scored 32 runs in 4 games for an average of 8/game. It could go down to the wire.

      Can't be too mad about the result. They made it a close game.   Still proud of the boys! Hopefully, we can get more of our good pitchers to commit next tournament and field a better roster.
