once again the hardest opponent

If Hungary is the hardest opponent, how come they lost all three of their matches at the European championships? :p

I would say a losing finalist is potentially quite a lot harder...or was it not possible for Slovenia to draw Spain/Sweden?

I'm quite sure there were 'seeded'' and ''non-seeded'' teams, similar to football play-off draws.

  • 4 months later...

:LTU won over :ISL in the first qualification match for WCH 19. We haven't been that close to qualification for a while now, it would be so cool to see Lithuanian handball team in World Champs after 22 years.

    • Yeah. It was pretty bad that they cancel the contract with the original creative director after 7 months of work. I feel like politics, in this particular context of the changing of prime minister and the cabinet, may had caused changes in organizational decisions regarding the Sea Games including the direction of the opening ceremony.
    • That's what I figured.  Wouldn't be a proper lead up to an Olympics without some media-fueled fearmongering.
    • Today : Jordan 3-0 Egypt  This team will surprise us
