I can think of only one explanation, since we know she shot 0+5 and not 2+3 or something. My suggestion: she hit all five targets in standing, and so did not enter the penalty loop (explaining her good split time)....but didn't realize she hit all five targets on the wrong target. I'm going for crossfire.

You are probably right. She has not registered any time on 6.4 km split yet. She has probably been disqualified.

Oh well, you're only a true biathlete once you had a case of crossfire. You know, the likes of Darya Domracheva and Bruna Moura :p

Screw you Gerbulova, destroying the lead time and so destroying the hope for decent IBU points

Gerbulova in pole position, only Kaplina and Skottheim left with a chance to beat her now.

According to the Brazilians who just arrived near Arber, a car of the Russian team, also on their way from Duszniki, crashed into a building in the Czech Republic. No idea about if it's bad or not.

The races in Arber will feature shorter distance for individual event (15km & 12.5km) and only 45 secs. penalty for a missed shot.

Most notable of that is that the huge uphill at the beginning of the lap is almost entirely skipped :p
