The German coach, Kristian Mehringer, said that Laura Dahlmeier could be back in the World Cup in December. (Likely not the first in Pokljuka.)

Dahlmeier is training again.

No Shipulin on the Russian team in Pokljuka.

President of the Russian Biathlon Union, Vladimir Drachev, has told Russian medias,  "He is not ready yet. It so happened that he did not run in the qualifying rounds, and his state of health is not up to perform. We still have to prepare".

Shipulin will instead prepare for the IBU Cup.

No Darya Virolaynen in the Russian team? Has she dropped off the boil so badly?

Usually there is some rather lengthy analysis done about the Russian selections on the realbiathlon forum :d

Some updates in the slovak monthy python´s biathlon situation...

our federation preliminarly registered the Fialková sisters for the World Cup opening stage in Pokljuka altogether with Kuzmina, Poliaková, Kazár, Otčenáš, Hasilla, Šíma and Bartko, but at the same time the federation confirmed that they both will not be allowed to compete until they will sign the contract. Immediately, when they will sign it their ban will be automatically removed.

source in svk https://sport.aktuality.sk/c/367746/slovensky-zvaz-biatlonu-prihlasil-sestry-fialkova-v-pripade-dohody-na-1-kolo-svetoveho-pohara/

The sisters answered that there no way they will sign this deal, since they just can not agree with some points in the contract. however Paulína stated today, that she will never represent any other country, she will rather retire from the sport than compete under another country.

source in svk https://sport.aktuality.sk/c/367804/paulina-fialkova-otvorene-nikdy-nebudem-reprezentovat-inu-krajinu-ako-slovensko/

And today the attorney of the Fialková sisters send a official request to the state´s main sport inspector (controller), claiming the national federation violated the law denying the right of both athletes to represent their country at major international events.

source in svk https://sport.aktuality.sk/c/367775/zvaz-postupoval-protizakonne-tvrdi-pravny-zastupca-sestier-fialkovych/

IBU announced they can not enter in the internal slovak conflict, for them both Fialková sisters are allowed to compete at all IBU events since they both signed the IBU internal deals including the antidoping, disciplinary and sport charts and marketing rules of IBU. so basically they can compete but our federation will not allow them to start even if the federation has registered them. :mumble:
