Gilles/Poirier fourth in the Grand Prix final. The crowd was stunned and the ISU has been called out for the results.

Not sure what Skate Canada did but it looks awfully like a second straight Olympics without a medal for Canada.

I was wondering what happened here. And how the newly formed pair of Cizeron and Laurence Fournier Beaudry from France so easily leap frogged Gilles and Poirier with again only six months of training (seems to be a theme today) compared to their 14 years together.

And I just found out the French team had a fall and still managed to beat them by 8 points. Where Piper and Paul had two flawless programs. Also the fact that for being flawless the judges have scored them about eight points below what they were giving them last year. What changed?

The ISU just really loves the sexual abuser supporter pair.

Full support for Papadakis, she’s awesome, but I don’t want to see either Cizeron or Fournier-Beaudry ever again.

Has anyone seen the outrage that fans are giving the ISU for its judging of the grand prix final in the ice dance?

All three medallists ended up being from IAM teams (Ice Academy of Montreal). Many fans are saying the scoring was heavily biased and influenced by them and stated they will always make up a majority of the judging panel (They at least get 5/9 judges per event and can be as high as all 9 judges from this academy). So they will always give an advantage to their athletes as was proven with a deep analysis of their judging at the grand prix final.

Anyways the backlash has gotten so intense that Piper has even written a letter complaining about the unfair judging as of late which has led the ISU needing to review their results. Even fellow winter Olympians have spoken out including Ivanie Blondin.

Ice dance gonna ice dance

Chock and Bates keep getting record scores, when they’re slow as hell, have terrible ice coverage, awful twizzles and he can’t even bend at the waist 😂

But it’s not like we don’t do it too. L/L have been our best team for a year or two, but are sacrificed to keep trying to prop up G/P

Honestly, ID should be taken out of the Olympics entirely… it’s as crooked as boxing

I feel like a grandpa reading the year she was born in...

Too bad she can't go to the Olympics.

To be honest, skating wise, LFB and Cizeron are BY FAR the best team out there. It’s not even close. Great speed, great ice coverage, and just amazing edges. She was skating circles around her old partner for years, now teamed up with someone like Cizeron 🤩

Not that ice dance typically rewards the best team… but by actual ability they’re miles better than everyone else.

Chock and Bates have been propped up for years and just keep getting slower and have terrible ice coverage… and his back is so bad he can’t even bend over anymore.

Gilles and Poirier, are, well Gilles and Poirier. Good all around, but lack the finish to be great.

Honestly, in a just world I think L&L would probably be a favourite for a medal, IMO they’re our strongest team, but have been pushed down to try to keep G&P up

At least that’s my opinion.
