Okay, so our U12 national team might be deemed bullies here…

You think it'd be fun to read the comments, until you see that an U12 (!) match makes a whole bunch of American nationalists get super serious about their country being the 'oldest and greatest in the world' and anyone who says that might not be entirely true is deemed a total idiot :d

California gets a walk-off home run to win the Little League Series. They beat :CUW in the final.

If I’ve said it a million times, I’ve probably said it a billion times; California is the best state in the Union. All the fake ass states can shove it. (Okay, maybe overboard there, but we don’t get a lot of opportunities to beat other state’s champions in sports.)

I'd say it is might be a bit unfortunate if a children's event is where one has to get their sports successes, but a win is a win, so yeah :p

like all the major leagues' final series, it's a best-of-7 series with the classic 2-3-2 format

the Buffaloes looked to have a small but comfortable lead in game #5, but a big 8th inning by the Hanshin Tigers overturned the situation and allowed the team from Nishinomiya to win the game and take the lead in the series

Buffaloes' superstar pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto had a rough start that made the home fans tremble with fear, but after the nightmerish 2nd inning, he came back strong and pitched a gem in the remaining 7 innings, allowing his teammates to complete the job and earn the chance to play the series decider Tomorrow

at the end of the day, it's a complete game with 9 hits surrendered and a record breaking 14 strikeouts for Yamamoto and a 5-1 win for the Buffaloes

2023 Japan Series

after a 38 years long drought, the Hanshin Tigers have done it!

they are the new Japan Series Champions!!! :champion:

3 runs in the 4th and 3 more in the 5th inning sealed the deal as no sign of life was shown by the Buffaloes through the entire game (which was a pretty disappointing one, for being the series decider of a matchup started with so much hype)

Game #7Hanshin Tigers b. Orix Buffaloes 7-1 in Osaka

game details

the Tigers won the Series 4-3
