Just realized Pro boxer Alexis Barrière will compete in the heavyweight event at the qualifiers. He is 11-0 at the Pro level according to this: https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/fighters/288642-alexis-barriere

Canada starts the first world Olympic qualifier with two victories for Justin Parina and Junior Petanqui (both 5-0 victories)

Marie Al-Ahmadieh (women’s 57kg) and Scarlett Delgado (women’s 54kg) are also through to the R16. For Al-Ahmadieh, she’s three wins away from an Olympic quota. Delgado is two.

Six Canadian athletes are still alive after five days of competition. Four athletes (Kali, Al-Ahmadieh, Wright, Tremblay) are three wins away from an Olympic quota, while two athletes (Barriere/Delgado) are two wins away from an Olympic quota. Here’s their potential path to a spot at Paris:
