There was an explanation on a Guatemala newspaper yesterday. At the beginning there were 6 registerd athletes for the women's event and 5 for men's event, when competition started only 4 showed up for each event, and even though it runned, they were later dismissed as part of the official tally. 

 

I also noticed that they did not cancelled the 4x400m mixed relay even though only had 4 entries.

Glad to see Belize participating in Canoe Sprint competitions, is not only athletics or cycling anymore.

Just confirmed with Pan Am Aquatics, the CCCAN championships of 2022 will be used to determine the teams. and  were the competing countries there. Can't find results however.

They had athletes in beach volleyball and sailing as well. I don’t believe they’ve entered anyone in athletics though…

I apologize for overlooking your post.

 

While trying to find the number of competitors per each NOC, I found an article that mentioned the Bahamian one didn’t thought the men’s basketball and softball teams could “achieve” anything, so they were left out.

Lee  won a silver medal in taekwondo, which is now her country’s best result at the Games.

 has been disqualified from men’s team foil after their coach did his best  Rio 2016 wrestling impression @mrv86 

 

From the official communication: “During semifinal bout between Venezuela and team Mexico at score 44-44 after the action coach from Mexico team ran on the fencing strip and took off his t-shirt, after that he got completely topless. This happened before making a final decision after watching video replay required by the rules. After this incident I give a black card per T.132.2 to the national coach from team Mexico Maiquel Rodriguez.”
