I just witnessed the best jump-off ever.

 

Staut posted the new leading time. Deusser said meh and immediately posted seemingly unbeatable time with some ridiculous turns. Pius Schwizer came then and out of nowhere surpassed Deusser. Finally, it was Henrik von Eckermann who found even more time. It was literally: anything you can do, I can do better.

And that's a wrap for the Western European League. Now we know the list of WEL qualifiers for the WC Final (which I will post later). Belgium, Germany and Sweden are the big winners this season. Ireland on the other hand is probably the biggest disappointment. Not a single WEL podium and, more importantly, not a single qualifier for the WC final! Sweetnam and Swail could still qualify from the North American League, but the European-based Irishmen had a miserable season.
