PS. Personally I think that previous rule, until Athens 2004, allowing 2 athletes from one NOC to participate in each individual canoe slalom event was better. But maybe we should stick to nowadays rules.

@hckošice your thoughts on that?

Yeah, the 1 athlete per NOC rule in canoe Slalom sucks a lot. was definitely much better before.

It is really unbelievable when you think that a guy like Slafkovsky (not the hockey one :p)never had the chance to be an Olympian..

We agree here.

But in these polls, 1 per NOC or 2 per NOC in canoe slalom ind?

Imagine that all these champions are on the top of their game at the very same moment in time.

No need to overcomplicate polls due to NOC limitations in certain events, in my opinion.

I should clarify, I voted for Chanut and Gardner so there would be a full podium to begin with. The first two spots are clear, more or less.

Poll #5 has ended.

The results are:

Event #5 - Gymnastics Artistics - Women's Uneven Bars

1. :ROU Nadia Comaneci ROU

2. :RUS Aliya Mustafina RUS

3. :CHN He Kexin CHN

There was a tie (7-7, Mustafina vs Comaneci) for the first place so according to my rules I had to choose the winner myself. :dunno:

But one more question to @dcro here.

You told us your opinion on Mustafina before. But what you think about Comaneci? Uneven bars - was it her strong apparatus or not?

Event #6 - Canoe Slalom - Men's C1

1. :FRA Tony Estanguet FRA

2. :SVK Michal Martikan SVK

3. :SLO Benjamin Savsek SLO

Here was another tie (1-1, Savsek vs Chanut) for the third place so I chose the bronze medalist.

This choice let me postpone the decision whether we should use the nowadays qualification criteria in our polls or not. (2 medals for France in this event would not be possible in Tokyo).

Event #7 - Wrestling Greco-Roman - Men's Super Heavyweight

1. :CUB Mijain Lopez CUB

2. :RUS Aleksandr Karelin RUS

3. :USA Rulon Gardner USA

3. :UKR Aleksandr Kolchinsky UKR

Here I needed to choose the second bronze medalist (2 bronze medals should be awarded in this event, like in boxing or judo).

@MHSN I wonder what you think about these results???

Our medal table and our results summary will be updated soon.

You will find them in the links below.

@Sindo is there a chance to put all the threads connected with this series of polls in one place here (easy to find)?

I put everything in my so-called "signature" here but it takes too much space already and there may be more than 100 polls in this series.

Anyway, thanks for the votes in Poll #5.

You can now vote in Poll #6 (link below).

Greetings for everyone. Stay safe and healthy, please.

Yeah, your signature looks way too long :d I would just put there the last 1-2 active polls!
