Most likely, she was on the junior podium in something like 6 events so it wouldn't make sense otherwise.

 

I think she starts college at Ohio State this fall so it probably would've conflicted with the start of the school year.

Also it looks like the Ekk siblings settled on Canada with Ethan’s selection to the junior Pan Pacs Team

Surprised that no one’s mentioned this yet, but Penny Oleksiak will make one final attempt to qualify in the women’s 100m freestyle at Sette Colli. 
 

Also, she’ll be accompanied by Swimming Canada support staff.

Hopefully someone like  Haughey or  Steenbergen will also be there to help pace her.
