4 events, 2 qualifiers in each event! Great night of swimming!

Summer and MSH delivered of course!

Given his performance in the 200 IM I expected Jankovics to be a bit faster but it was still a good time. Same with Wigginton. Both had the 2nd fastest performances of their careers and hopefully we can get 1 or both of them in the final at Worlds.

Wasn't sure what to expect from the 200m backstroke races but they both absolutely delivered. Given their trajectories, and the absence of Masse and McIntosh in the women's race, I knew that Ekk and Kryger had what it took to make the team but a 1:56 and 2:09 (along with a Canadian record for Ekk) blew all expectations out of the water. Bodes very well for the future.

According to Devin, Summer is scratching the 200 free tomorrow.

So her World Championship lineup will be 400 free, 800 free, 200 fly, 200 IM, 400 IM.

First time in a long, long, long, long, long time I am looking forward to a women's 800m free at a major competition. That will be a barn burner.

She had 16.53 earlier this week and now got 16.59. She's second in the world for U20 this year    So of course Karalis was the big star of our nationals this year, more than Tentoglou, but we also had a lot of teenagers show good signs for the future (Antonatou, Alivizatos, Mitropoulou, Iakovaki, Rafailidou etc).   Antonatou and Alivizatos are both from Kefalonia island. Antonatou's brother is a shot putter who is 19 yo and had a new PB yesterday of 17.92 in the NCAA. I don't remember us ever having any strong athletes from Kefalonia in any sport aside from the late Anna Pollatou who won an Olympic bronze in rhythmic gymnastics. What are they feeding these kids on this island (it only has about 35.000 residents)?! Very impressive.
