Didn’t know :USA Elizabeth Lemley was competing at Gangwon 2024 :yikes:

Thought she would’ve chosen to focus on the remainder of WC season, she’s a medal contender in both moguls and dual moguls on any given day (Behind Jakara there’s like 8 all capable of challenging for podiums, Kauf, Giacco, Soar, Schwinghammer, Yanagimoto, Macuga, Tomitaka are the others)

Well, this one really hurts... So close of a miracle. 8 minutes before the end we were still leading by 2 goals... but 4 penalties in the last 5 minutes (I am still persuaded 3 of them were imagined by the referees, not even replayed in TV) helped USA to tie the game in 6 on 4 play and then win the match in Penalty Shoot-Out.

I rarely blame the refereeing, but today, seriosuly, it was just mind blowing. Very hearthbreaking for our boys. Such USA roster really does not need such help of referees against such unimportant country as Slovakia, what a shame

last 15 minutes or so in the live stream are speaking by itself https://olympics.com/en/gangwon-2024/video/men-s-6-team-svk-usa-ice-hockey-winter-youth-olympic-games-gangwon-2024

Sonnekalb :GER raced that to near perfection in my opinion (considering his strengths). I still can't figure out what Huber :GER was doing? I think he should have just committed to that move, but it looked like the coaches told him to back off for Sonnekalb (which is lame, since that situation almost certainly benefits him too).

Rodrigues :POR likely got the best result for her NOC at a winter YOG (6th), but I'll check all the NOCs when the Games are finished.

Yeah, Huber was just not allowed to go for it I guess, he basically had that in the bag if he were allowed to keep going :d
