Muriel Mohr was coming in as the favourite in slopestyle actually, as the reigning Junior World Champion. Tabanelli was expected to win in big air though, reigning Junior World Chmpion, and had won a bronze on the World Cup circuit recently.

Tabanelli (who won silver in SS) was robbed by Mohr at last year's jr. worlds

 

and now she's already shining in the senior world cup
