    • That’s good news. There’s been no mention of the team in the local papers at all. If they go, I think they’ll be the first Philippine athletes to represent the country in a team event at the World Games.
    • No, Lake Placid won the bid to be the back-up host over St Moritz and Igls. I don’t believe any other track expressed interest.
    • Assuming there’s streaming, I think I’ll be watching the Asian Winter Games and the World Games
    • With the 2024 Bolivarian Games done and dusted, I thought it'd be a good time to look at next year's slate of international multi-sport games. Here's what I have written down on my personal schedule:   January 13 January 23 Winter University Games February 6 February 17 Invictus Games February 7 February 14 Asian Winter Games February 9 February 16 Winter EYOF March 23 March 30 CISM Winter World Games May 17 May 30 World Masters Games May 26 May 31 Games of Small States of Europe June 27 July 6 World Police and Fire Games June 29 July 9 Pacific Mini Games July 11 July 20 Junior Pan American Games July 12 July 18 Island Games July 16 July 27 Summer University Games July 20 July 26 Summer EYOF August 7 August 17 The World Games October 18 October 30 Central American Games November 15 November 26 Summer Deaflympics December 9 December 20 SEA Games TBC TBC Islamic Solidarity Games TBC TBC Asian Youth Games   I'm not sure about the status of the Caribbean Games and Central American and Caribbean Beach Games, so those might eventually find a spot on the calendar as well (I just haven't seen anything confirmed yet.)
    • That's basically the worst way you could call pictograms. Who cares about (solid) okay pictograms ? They will be forgotten the day after.
    • already snagged one of The World Games 2025 quota places @PHI2019: https://floorball.sport/2024/12/10/philippines-qualify-for-the-world-games-2025/
    • and of course we can still go for some more shopping in the AHL and the main European Leagues (where a few good players with Italian heritage play)...
    • looking at Today's NHL Rosters, this is a list of player that surely would be eligible to play for  (even if many of them have already played at the World Champs/Olympics for  /  in the past, sometime recent past)   Forwards   Adam Fantilli (Columbus) Kyle Palmieri (NY Islanders) Noel Acciari (Pittsburgh) Philip Tomasino (Pittsburgh) Andrew Mangiapane (Washington) Sonny Milano (Washington) Joe Veleno (Detroit) Michael Pezzetta (Montreal) Michael Amadio (Ottawa) Anthony Cirelli (Tampa Bay) Max Domi (Toronto) Max Pacioretty (Toronto) Tyler Bertuzzi (Chicago) Ryan Donato (Chicago) Nick Foligno (Chicago) Matt Boldy (Minnesota) Marcus Foligno (Minnesota) Luke Evangelista (Nashville) Michael Carcone (Utah) Matias Maccelli (Utah) Alex Iafallo (Winnipeg) Cole Perfetti (Winnipeg) Gabriel Vilardi (Winnipeg) Robby Fabbri (Anaheim) Frank Vatrano (Anaheim) Troy Terry (Anaheim) ??? Matt Coronato (Calgary) Anthony Mantha (Calgary) Macklin Celebrini (San Josè) Ty Dellandrea (San Josè) Tyler Toffoli (San Josè)   D-Men   Dante Fabbro (Columbus) Brett Pesce (New Jersey) Victor Mancini (NY Rangers) Brandon Carlo (Boston) Ben Chiarot (Detroit) Steven Santini (Tampa Bay) Mathew Dumba (Dallas) Nick Leddy (St.Louis) Robert Bortuzzo (Utah) Sean Durzi (Utah) Alec Regula (Edmonton) Cody Ceci (San Josè) Mario Ferraro (San Josè) Alex Pietrangelo (Las Vegas)   Goalies   Drew Commesso (Chicago) Joel Hofer (St.Louis) ???   but I'm pretty sure that there are a few more with Italian heritage coming from their moms and/or wives (Canadiens' Josh Anderson, for instance)...
    • Day 6 Results - 12.12.2024   Play-Offs Quarterfinals   -   5-2 -   9-1    9-12th Place Semifinals   -   3-6 -   2-10   13th Place Match   -   6-4   15th Place Match   -   6-9
