Time for a weekly rundown of all the Canadians in action! :cheer:

NCAA Championships West/East 1st Round is on from May 22-25. In the west, we have Jeremiah Nubbe (men’s hammer throw/discus throw), Jasneet Nijjar (women’s 400m), Ella Clayton (women’s 400m), Rowan Hamilton (men’s hammer throw), Heather Abadie (women’s pole vault), Myles Misener-Daley (men’s 400m), Rori Deness-Lamont (women’s javelin throw), and Tianna Lostracco (women’s 1500m). I did notice no Michael Roth though. In the east, we have Christopher Morales-Williams (men’s 400m), Jalon White (men’s 400m), Savannah Sutherland (women’s 400m hurdles), Praise Aniamaka (men’s triple jump), Peace Omonzane (women’s triple jump), MacKenzy Pierre-Webster (women’s 400m), and Cassandra Williamson (women’s 800m)

Today we have the Trond Mohn Games, where we’ll be seeing Alyssa Marsh, Lauren Gale, and Madeline Price in a rare women’s 300m outing, Kaila Butler in women’s hammer throw, and Ethan Katzberg in men’s hammer throw.

On May 25, the Prefontaine Classic, where we’ll be seeing Camryn Rogers and Jillian Weir in women’s hammer throw, and we’ll also be getting the long awaited return of Alysha Newman in women’s pole vault. Full entry list isn’t out yet, so I’ll probably edit this section in a day or two. Also on May 25, another meet for Ethan Katzberg, he’s entered in the men’s hammer throw competition at Hallesche Werfertage

Wasn’t in competition unfortunately. Result not showing up on her World Athletics page.

Its there now. She is up to 35th in the Road to Paris. If she can repeat her throw at Nationals, she would get +28 in overall ranking points.

Much better from Ethan Katzberg this week at the Trond Mohn Games, recording a best mark of 81.98m, 6m ahead of another 80m+ competitor in Halasz!

His series: 80.47m R1, 80.47m R2,  81.98m R3, 81.26m R4, 78.94 R5, 78.50m R6.

    • Despite total domination by the Norwegian men (and yes, it's exhausting and boring), the accomplishments this weekend of Emil Iversen and Einar Hedegart are worth highlighting, despite them being Norwegian.    Iversen was dropped by the Norwegian national team after the opener in Beitostølen 2 weeks ago and was not taken to Ruka. Instead, he won both the 10k and 20k Interval Classic starts in Gålå in the Norwegian Cup last week, which granted him a spot on the start line in Trondheim. He took full advantage of that opportunity and finished on the podium in the skiathlon, and finished just off the podium in today's 10k Interval Freestyle. This definitely puts his name in serious contention for a spot on the Olympic team, which looked incredibly doubtful just a few days ago.    Einar Hedegart, the 24-year-old biathlete who decided to challenge the stereotype that biathletes are inferior skiers to their cross-country counterparts, just won the 10k Interval Start against all of Norway's best in a de facto Olympic trial.    Yes, it's exhausting seeing nothing but Norwegian flags on the men's side, but there can be excitement just beneath the surface at times.
