Looks like we won't have a new champion of GS in men's singles for years to come :(

What about Sasha Zverev? I know he sucks at GSs but you never know when he might actually make the magic happen.

I dare to bet that in 2018, 2019 or 2020 someone will win a men's singles GS who has never won one before :p

Who can win US open 2018 other than Novak , Nadal , Federer , Del potro , Cilic, Murray and Wawrinka :p

He let me down many times in GSs :( Kind of starting to lose hope in youth talents to make it

You said 'for years to come', that's different than just the US Open 2018 :p

U said 2018 :d

Yes, because for my example I counted 'for years to come' as two years, so until and including 2020. Which is 9 Grand Slams :p

I definitely think it's very possible one of the next nine Grand Slams will be won by a man who hasn't won one before.

    • Tentoglou won the men's long jump with 8.22. He only had two valid jumps today.   Another U20NR came in the women's shot put from Maria Rafailidou. She had 16.53 earlier this week and now got 16.59. She's second in the world for U20 this year    So of course Karalis was the big star of our nationals this year, more than Tentoglou, but we also had a lot of teenagers show good signs for the future (Antonatou, Alivizatos, Mitropoulou, Iakovaki, Rafailidou etc).   Antonatou and Alivizatos are both from Kefalonia island. Antonatou's brother is a shot putter who is 19 yo and had a new PB yesterday of 17.92 in the NCAA. I don't remember us ever having any strong athletes from Kefalonia in any sport aside from the late Anna Pollatou who won an Olympic bronze in rhythmic gymnastics. What are they feeding these kids on this island (it only has about 35.000 residents)?! Very impressive.
