Women's sprint in Oslo has started. Elvira Oeberg with three misses in prone but Hanna manages to miss four!

Looks like wind has changed after the early numbers. Wierer with three misses too.

These warm temperatures are terrible for the later numbers, course is trash. Top 3 all in the first nine bib numbers. Norway knew what they were doing putting Olsbu & Ekchoff so early.

Nice race from Emilien Claude today. Despite two mistakes still World Cup points. Eric only 60th with one mistake. This confirms my thesis that Eric could have been replaced.
Whether Julia Simon is doing herself a favor at the moment? From a skating point of view, it looks Not good after her fall. She should skip the pursuit tomorrow, at least she can still fight for the globe in the mass start. And with her current skiing form she has no chance tomorrow anyway.
Otherwise quite a curious race. For the women from bib number 10 onwards there is no chance for reasonable running times. Especially the collapse on the last lap of some speaks for itself. In the men's race it was a bit better, but Sturla was simply a class of his own today, but that was already apparent in Kontiolahti and Otepää.

    • There will be specialized double sculls...just not for an NOC if it is entering singles specialists.   Either enter 2 singles specialists, or 1 XD specialist pair.   But they can in theory compete in both events, I guess, if they qualify...our top M, I think, does both.   But there are 17M, 17W, and 30 Pairs allotted in the quota, so I don't think the intent is that every singles entry will be in doubles.   (Perhaps this gets to fall in line with Weightlifting, where due to max entry quota, an NOC can't enter in every event, even if they have the best athletes...here, unless you have a pair who qualifies in both.)
