I couldn't tell if you were joking or not at first, so I did some research and could not find any articles about this

of course I was joking ;) but it's true that many fans were disappointed about Adetokounbo's rest.

They paid a lot of money to watch him play.

about GEO vs TUR

https://shurup.news/2022/09/06/turkey-threatens-to-leave-eurobasket-after-the-incident-vs-georgia/

https://www.eurohoops.net/en/eurobasket/1386277/omer-anan-turkey-federation-eurobasket/

basically some Georgian players out of the official roster went in front of the Turkish locker room to instigate some Turkish players and when they responded, the Georgian police did beat them instead of defending them from the Georgian players' assault.

From there, there was an escalation and it took quite a while to settle things down.

Let’s see what Serbia will do.

if they win against Poland they have to play Italy and then France.

if they lose Croatia and then Spain/Lithuania.

hmmm

hopefully France would make think about choosing a different pathway...because if it was only for Italy, they would play us 100 times rather than CRO, ESP or LTU...

actually, I fear they just want to play us and FRA to show that last year was just a fluke and they're still better than those who eliminated them from the Olympics and those who won the "other than USA top medal" in Tokyo...:mumble:

We did lost to :SRB but nobody believed for win in this match. Now we will face Ukraine in next match and then winner between Belgium and Slovenia. But it will be difficult since we lost against Ukraine recently with big difference...

FIBA recognized the error of the referees in the match between Lithuania and Germany. All 3 referees was already suspended after Lithuania-Germany match and won't continue to work in this EuroBasket.

What connection has Lorenzo Brown with Spain? For me, Spain should be embarrassed. They have such great history in the sport, so many great players, big population, and they still had to go and naturalise an American who has never even played in the Spanish league?!

It's bad enough we have countries like Bosnia, Montenegro, FYROM etc always with their token American who never stepped foot in their country before getting citizenship, (and don't get me started on Turkey also), but for Spain this is quite pathetic in my opinion. I am sorry if that sounds rude but they are really better than that and shouldn't have to naturalise players when they are a very good team as it is.

And before anyone says anything about the Greek team, Dorsey's mother is half Greek and lived in Athens when she was young (and he plays for Olympiacos), the Antetokounmpo brothers were born and raised in Athens, and Calathes' paternal grandparents are from Limnos island (and he played for Panathinaikos for like 10 years), so it's very different.
