Also another event with a rather interesting sports program

Facts : 1.Most number of athletes

5.Expected to be one of the best games for Indonesia

I would have to disagree and say jet ski is the most unusual sport. I would also be ok with Indonesia hosting the Olympics

North Korea and South Korea will compete under the same flag in basketball, dragon boat and in rowing (only lightweight men's fours, lightweight men's eight and lightweight women's double sculls)

I would go for esports. Or bridge.

Well, I wasn’t counting demo sports, and is actually a rather established sport compared to jet ski

Jet ski is a racing sport which is worth watching at least on the beaches. No mad would watch a bridge game being played. If jet ski is unusual then motor sports or formula one are also unusual and if bridge is a very nice sport then even ludo or snake and ladders or any dice game are also nice.  LOL

:roflmao::raspberry:

Team sports draw

http://aroundtherings.com/site/A__63931/Title__COR-makes-debut-in-Asian-Games-draw/292/Articles

and we will have this COR (unified Korean team) idea in women's basketball. they have a good chance to medal. we will see this stupid COR idea in medal table :(

I wonder what format they want to use in volleyball with 6 groups ! AVC is inventing weird formats recently.

    • changes that go absolutely against the Italians (notoriously the top swimmers and not the best shooters in MP) 😭😭😭   now it's really time to axe MP from the Games 😈🥳
    • I think there was a feeling before the obstacle course was introduced that really, really solid endurance runners were starting to dominate - in Triathlon you might call it the Alex Yee conundrum. Personally, I don't mind at all if the 'martial' elements are reemphasised as that is the real 'soul' of the sport - Triathlon, Marathon and Road cycing are there for genuine endurace, MP is in some senses a 'soldiery' test - one reason I thought Judo might have been a better addition than the obstacle course. But placing a higher emphasis on the fight bits over the flight bits seems a legitimate idea - though it should also increase the X-country nature of the run so that the test of a fresh shooter at the beginning is rather different from the test of a knackered one at the end. I quite like the artificial hill in rio.
