Some really bad curling from Sweden in the 9th end and :GBR leads 11-8! Game over IMO.

How did they not see that coming?  Tons of yellow in the 4-foot & only one red which was always going out.

There wasn't really anything they could do.  Sweden actually did a good job to make it really hard for GB to score, GB just made some amazing shots.

I don't get the whole tactics of this game but Polish commentators were also puzzled why Sweden left so many GB stones in the center? :dunno:

It’s the difference between the men’s & the women’s game.  The women don’t have the option to chick a hand grenade in when the going gets sticky.

The two experts helping with commentary on the BBC both said that picking up a four on the first end might actually cause Sweden to make the mistake of changing their tactics in order to defend their lead from too far out. They did and it looks like they're going to pay the price.

    • Yesterday at 8.40pm, what Italians call “Sanremo Holy Week” began, ending very early at around 1.20am (with controversy attached, as this is finally the last year for this presenter). It wasn't a great edition, with no big favourite singers like Mengoni in 2024 or Giorgia in 2025 (who lost!). After the first evening, it looks like it's going to be a two-horse race, but surprises are just around the corner..   Serena Brancale - Qui con Me (26% winning chances, 2nd partecipation)   Fedez (3rd partecipation, one time runner-up) & Marco Masini (9th partecipation, 2004 champion) - Male Necessario (20% winning chances)

    • Thanks for the amazing work on the spreadsheet. If my eye's read correctly you expect  to get a quota in Sprint (M) canoeing . This will be historic, if time permits could you elaborate a bit please. What are the chances we get to hold on to the quota place ? Is their a risk of missing out? Thanks! I don't follow canoeing much so had a hard time simulating the qualification scenarios. Thanks!
