He must've had his invite rejected by Swim Ireland then. Would make sense since he was allowed to do Junior Euros.

I think it just re-enforces the point that World Athletics have their own procedures and while some here may believe certain invitations are inevitable, they take some time to be processed.

100%, as if Cabanes has had her invite accepted then Shortt should (if all the rules are followed) get one as well.

Quah Ting Wen's omission from Paris Olympics squad confirmed after World Aquatics rejects Singapore's appeal

 

Quah Ting Wen was omitted from Singapore’s swimming team after Gan Ching Hwee received an invitation to compete at the Games. Sad news as this would have been her fourth Olympics.

It seems like World Aquatics actually did prioritise sending OCT invites to relay only swimmers, which isn’t what the rules say. Interesting…

:TUR Berke Saka appears on Turkey's official delegation list which means that he must have gotten an OCT invite in the men's 200m Individual Medley
